At Elumalaiyan College, examinations are conducted in accordance with Bharathidasan University guidelines to ensure a fair and transparent evaluation process. The University conducts End Semester Examinations twice a year — the ODD Semester Examination in December and the EVEN Semester Examination in May.

Students are continuously assessed through the Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) system, which carries 25 marks for each subject. The End Semester Examination (ESE) contributes 75 marks, making a total of 100 marks per subject. This balanced approach between internal and semester assessments ensures consistent academic performance and encourages active learning throughout the year.
